In preparation of the 2nd week of November, I am brewing my version of Alaskan Amber Ale this weekend (9/13/14)
Last year I brought five gallons of “Snagtooth Pale Ale” which is a clove of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale to Elk Camp, but this year I’m bringing up FS-90 Amber Ale. FS-90 Amber Ale is 5.5% Amber Ale, lightly bittered at 18 IBU’s and colored around 22 SRM. It’s an “Alt” style Kolsh ale (Alt in German means Old), and takes a month in the fermenters to taste correct.
